I've been trying to convince myself lately that actually finding time to watch games won't jinx Arsenal into losing. It's been years since that fateful night when Arsenal lost 1-2 to Barcelona in the Champions League Final. My heart leaped when I saw Campbell head in the opening goal but deep in my heart, I knew it wasn't going to be enough.
Since then. Arsenal have failed to replicate anywhere near that form, when they were almost at the pinacle of European football. Every season now is a transition season, but there's only so many times you can turn the corner.
I get that sense of frustration nowadays, when I see Arsenal playing against any team in the Premiership. The passing combinations aren't as fluid and we look nowhere near scoring a goal. Robin van Persie can sometimes fashion one out of nothing, but it's too much to ask that of him everytime. When I switch channels and see Hull dinking the ball around and breaking at speed, I wonder where it all went wrong.
